Every legacy has a beginning, and for NEA, it started in Amman, Jordan. After two decades of mastering the art and science of quantity surveying and cost management, Nabih Elias Azzam, FRICS—the first Arabic Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors—set out to transform the industry.

In 1982, he established the first NEA office in Amman, laying the foundation for a company that would soon set new benchmarks in precision, expertise, and excellence. What began as a vision quickly became a driving force behind some of the region’s most iconic projects, shaping the skyline and redefining industry standards.

From this pioneering start in Jordan, NEA’s reputation soared, expanding across the Middle East and beyond. Yet, Amman remains more than just our first office—it is the heart of our legacy, where our commitment to excellence was forged and continues to thrive today.
